Biological Farmers of Australia

The BFA actively works to influence standards development, represent consumer views at the government level, and support the growth of the Australian organic market. It provides assistance in market intelligence, exporting requirements, and development of contacts and networks. The BFA continues to increase consumer awareness of organic food and supports growth of local food economies. As the market develops further, they remain active in lobbying for support for organic producers and in maintaining high standards across Australia.

Humane Society International Australia

Network of Concerned Farmers

Concerns include: impact on the non-GM growers, costs and liability, contamination and loss of markets for all agricultural produce, herbicide resistance, environmental impacts, patents and corporate control of farming. Provide independent, practical, detailed and accurate information to farmers and the broader community on all issues related to GM crops.
