Berkshire Grown
Promotes locally raised and produced food, flowers, and plants in the Berkshire region. This is done through a variety of programs that build partnerships between farmers, chefs, and consumers. Berkshire Grown envisions a community where healthy farms define the open landscape, where a wide diversity of fresh, seasonal food and flowers continue to be readily available to everyone, and where we celebrate our EWGagricultural bounty by buying from our neighboring family farms and savoring their distinctive Berkshire harvest.

CISA

Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture
CISA is dedicated to sustaining agriculture in western Massachusetts and promoting the products of small farms. CISA works toward community development by fostering a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship between farmers and consumers. EWGCISA offers programs, special events, marketing products and workshops, all of which enhance the economic development of the region.

Foodshed

Foodshed Alliance
A grassroots, non-profit devoted to promoting profitable, sustainable farming and locally-grown, fresh, healthy food in northwestern New Jersey. The Foodshed Alliance believes that the future of our health, our land, and our communities depends, to a great extent, on the existence of local farms. EWGFarmers are the keystone to our connection with our food, land, and sense of place.

Just Food

Just Food
Works to develop a just and sustainable food system in the New York City region. Fosters new marketing and food-growing opportunities that address the needs of regional, rural family farms, NYC community gardeners, and NYC communities. Just Food envisions a strong regional food system that preserves ecosystems, EWGreduces pollution, promotes social justice, provides education about the environment, and invigorates rural and urban economies.

Regional Farm and Food Project  
RFFP is building a more sustainable food system with educational programs, workshops, lecture presentations, conferences and special events to promote sustainable agriculture, family farms, small farm profitability, local food systems, and rural economies. EWGThe mission of RFFP is to foster sustainable agriculture, and connect farmers and their communities in vibrant local food systems.

Rural Vermont

Rural Vermont
A statewide, grassroots organization dedicated to building a prosperous rural life by working for economic justice for family farmers and by promoting living soils, thriving farms, and healthy communities. Rural Vermont is a nonprofit farm advocacy group that represents those who are opposed to corporate industrial agriculture. EWGRural Vermont is committed to supporting a strong rural economy that is environmentally sustainable and economically just.

Vermont Fresh

Vermont Fresh Network  
The Vermont Fresh Network is dedicated to promoting and publicizing Vermont chefs and restaurants that use Vermont grown and produced foods.  They encourage farmers, food producers and chefs to work directly with each other to build partnerships. EWGBuilding these regional connections contributes to stronger local communities and their economies.

Future Harvest  
Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture (Future Harvest-CASA) is a network of farmers, consumers, agricultural professionals and landowners living and working in the Chesapeake Bay region. EWGFuture Harvest-CASA encourages environmentally friendly farming methods and works to help farmers reach local markets.

White Dog

White Dog Cafe Foundation
The White Dog Café Foundation supports local organic and sustainable family farms, buying from them in season and encouraging other businesses to do so as well. EWGThe Foundation spearheads the Philadelphia Fair Food Project which works to link sustainable farmers with other area restaurants and food purveyors.

ASAN

Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network
ASAN is a network of farmers, consumers, and agriculture-related organizations, all committed to promoting sustainable agriculture in Alabama. EWGASAN works to improve the situation of farmers in the state and to provide the state's consumers with fresh local products.

CFSA

Carolina Farm Stewardship Association
CFSA is a membership-based organization of more than 750 farmers, processors, gardeners, businesses, organizations and individuals in North and EWGSouth Carolina who are committed to creating a sustainable agricultural system through the development and promotion of local and organic farms and distribution systems.

Georgia Organics

Georgia Organics 
A statewide nonprofit membership organization promoting local foods, sustainable farms and healthy people. EWGGeorgia Organics envisions a future when everyone in Georgia has access to fresh, healthy and secure foods grown by local farmers.

Midwest

 

Environmentally Concerned Citizens of South Central Michigan
In the last few years, 12 livestock factories, most of them dairies, have been built near the town of Hudson, Michigan – ECCSCM is working to hold them accountable.  ECCSCM also supports responsible agriculture, farming that looks ahead to the next generations, preserves biodiversity, raises animals in a healthy environment, does no harm to its neighbors, enhances the natural assets of living communities, and protects our natural resources. 

The Land Connection

The Land Connection
TLC is a grassroots, central-Illinois-based, 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization. TLC has a broad mission that involves saving farmland at risk of loss to sprawl; training new and transitioning farmers; and linking the growers and eaters of local sustainably raised foods. EWGTLC’s goal is to cultivate a sustainable food system by cultivating healthy farms, healthy food, and healthy communities.

Nebraska Food Cooperative
The Nebraska Food Cooperative brings together producers and consumers who care about the land, share an enjoyment of simple food, and seek equitable relationships. It is a marketing and distribution service designed to improve market access for farmer producers and local food access for consumers. 

NSAS

Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society
NSAS is a 30-year-old, grassroots, nonprofit organization composed of a diverse membership that includes farmers, rural and urban consumers, market gardeners, educators, and others. NSAS welcomes anyone who is concerned about family farming, environmental quality, and good, healthy food. EWGNSAS's mission is "to promote agriculture and food systems that build healthy land, people, communities and quality of life for present and future generations."

CCOF

 California Certified Organic Farmers
Promotes and supports organic food and agriculture through a premier organic certification program, trade support, producer and consumer education and political advocacy. EWGFrom apples to zucchini, from almonds to wine, CCOF is involved in every facet of organics, with over 400 different organic crops and products, including livestock, processed products and services.

CAFF

Community Alliance with Family Farmers
CAFF is building a movement of rural and urban Californians to foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies and promotes social justice. EWGCAFF members are activists, farmers, environmentalists, urban residents, students, gardeners, and anyone who wants good food and supports sustainable food and farming systems.

Lane County

Lane County Food Coalition
LCFC encourages, facilitates and supports the development of a more sustainable local food system in Lane County, Oregon. As a nonprofit corporation, LCFC accomplishes its mission through research, advocacy, education and outreach, EWGpolicy development and support, and networking between local agricultural producers, processors, consumers and advocates.

OSALT

Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust  
OSALT is a charitable trust that works to hold rural and urban agricultural lands in trust to keep them in agricultural use, make those lands available to future generations of growers, collaborate with growers and others to conduct practical research into the EWGsustainable production and distribution of agricultural bounty, and provide education to growers and consumers about the results of the research and the importance of sustainability.

Oregon Tilth

Oregon Tilth, Inc  
Oregon Tilth supports and promotes biologically sound and socially equitable agriculture through education, research, advocacy, and product certification. EWGPrimarily an organization of organic farmers, gardeners and consumers, Tilth offers educational events throughout the state of Oregon, and provides organic certification services to organic growers, processors, and handlers internationally.
